Symbiosis Skills and Professional University [SSPU] has launched a Centre for Entrepreneurship “SRiSTi” to handhold aspiring entrepreneurs and provide facilities and nurturing to start, incubate and successfully scale up startups that involve innovation, are societally important, and are environmentally relevant.

Incubatees will be provided facilities and services such as workspace, communication and computation facilities, mentoring, seed fund support, etc. in addition to offering training and business networking. SRiSTi will focus on Existing technology that solves problems of national importance Novice solutions to find a market and early-stage customers that have the potential for growth.

Entrepreneurship FAQ

Incubator or incubation centres help start-ups in their journey to become successful and scalable enterprises. They solve some of the problems commonly associated with running a startup by providing workspace, seed funding, mentoring, networking, training and a host of other resources that are required for the startup to survive and scale. The sole purpose of a startup incubator is to help entrepreneurs grow their business

SRiSTi support to startups include: Business defined problem statements Mentors & Domain expert support to work on the Problem statement Access on as required basis .Training & Bootcamps on topics of interest – Ex. Business Model, Legal aspects, Finance Opportunity

The program is open to startups across India. Startups apply online. The applications are evaluated and shortlisted applicants are invited for a face-to-face pitch session.The final selection is based on the strength of the business idea/plan, team capabilities, and sustainability in focus areas.

The incubation period will be for 24 months.

Team member presence to work on the problem statements, attend the Bootcamp sessions, willingness to share startup experience with students, updates & presentations to Customers, structuring engagements, pilots.
